Saru Jayaraman

Saru Jayaraman is the President of One Fair Wage and Director of the Food Labor Research Center. She co-founded the Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC), and launched One Fair Wage as a campaign to end subminimum wages in the US. Saru graduated Yale Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She has appeared on multiple broadcasts and written several books including Behind the Kitchen Door and Forked: A New Standard for American Dining. The founding of ROC was chronicled in The Accidental American, and the story of the One Fair Wage campaign was profiled in the film Waging Change.
